Chocolate Croissant

Hello Dears,

Tomorrow is the 20th of August, one of the biggest celebration in Hungary.
The anniversary of the foundation of the country, so we will have great programs throughout the city. :) And at night there is a 30 minutes long firework show.  We have this every year, so if You would like to visit Hungary someday You can choose these times as well.

But for now, I brought some home-made Chocolate Croissants. They are flavored with a pinch of cinnamon, so their fragrance was truly amazing when they came out of the oven. :) Try them! :)
Ingredients:
  • 3 tbsp of milk
  • 1 tsp of sugar
  • 15 g or 1 tbsp of yeast
  • 300 g of flour = 1 +1/4 cup of flour
  • 6 tbsp of icing sugar
  • 4 tbsp of granulated sugar
  • 100 g=2/5 cup  of margarine (melted)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • ----
  • 3 dl= 1 cup of milk
  • 1 package of chocolate pudding
  • 3 tbsp of sugar
  • 1 tbsp of cocoa
  • 1 bar of dark chocolate (melted)
  • ----
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp of sugar
Preparation:

1. Heat up 3 tbsp of milk, and add 1tsp of sugar and the yeast to it.
2. Mix the flour with the icing sugar, with the granulated sugar, with the melted margarine, with one egg, and with the cinnamon. Then finally, add the yeasty milk as well. Mix them well, to get a ball.

3. Make a chocolate pudding from the ingredients of the 2nd column. (Warm up the half of the milk, while You stir together the other ingredients, then mix them well, and heat them until they get thick.)

4. 15 minutes later, roll out the pastry, in 4 pieces.

5. Cut it up to have triangles.

6. Fill them with chocolate pudding, and roll them up. Then put them to a baking sheet on a tray.

7. Mix one egg with 1 tsp of sugar, then lubricate with it the croissants.

8. Bake them for about 20 minutes on 200 degrees Celsius.

Enjoy! :)

xoxo: Hajni
